CVEC was established in rural communities to provide electric service where none was available. Today our service territory is spread across 14 counties with only about 7.5 customers for every mile of line compared to more than 60 customers per mile in urban areas. Still, CVEC provides highly reliable service at affordable rates to anyone we can reach in our territory.

The Co-op has established terms and conditions to ensure that each member pays a fair share of the costs. Our goal is to provide service, to maintain the distribution system, and to break even after paying our expenses.
