Bylaws, Rates & TermsThe rules by which Central Virginia Electric Cooperative is governed by are spelled out in its Bylaws (
271 KB). The current bylaws were approved by the membership on
June 23, 2010.
All of the Cooperative's rates are based upon the cost to service a class of consumers. The rates CVEC charges are based on detailed cost of service studies that are reviewed and approved by the Virginia State Corporation Commission. The Commission has also approved terms and conditions under which the CVEC will provide electric distribution service to its customers. The Cooperative's Terms and Conditions were filed with the Commission August 17, 2002. Please Note: CVEC revised the Schedule F - Miscellaneous Fees ( 392 KB)
listed in the Terms and Conditions. The new fees became effective on
September 1, 2009. Please update your copy of the Terms and
Conditions.
