Our Mission Statement
"To Improve the Quality of Your Life
in a Quietly Impressive Way."
CVEC's mission statement is a promise to the member-owners that the
Cooperative is working to maintain its level of service at a standard
that is so consistently excellent that CVEC members may take the
Cooperative for granted. CVEC will achieve this mission by securing an
affordable supply of energy for its members and delivering it over a
well-maintained distribution system, charging each member only their
fair share of what it costs the Co-op to provide electric service to
the members' homes or business.
While working on long term objectives, Cooperative employees will be
courteous, friendly, and efficient in dealing with members and in
completing their work responsibilities. CVEC strives to earn high
marks from its members since each one is an owner of the Cooperative.
Cooperative Principles
Cooperatives, worldwide, generally operate according principles as
adopted in 1995 by the International Cooperative Alliance. These
principles are part of a cooperative statement of identity, which also
includes the definition of a cooperative and a list of
cooperative values.
